Meet Topaz!! Topaz, so named for her beautiful, eye catching coat, is a sweet girl who is ready to find her furrever home! Though shy at the shelter, this kitty really blossomed in foster care. Her foster mom had this to say about her:

“I spend a couple of hours a day with her to bond – mostly I’m sitting on the toddler bed with my laptop and she lays on the bed about a foot from me purring. She loves chin, cheek and ear rubs. Sometimes when she leans into it for more, it seems like she’d like me to do it for hours. Other times, she flinches a little when my hand approaches. If she doesn’t want contact, she pulls away a bit and gives me the “what the heck” look. She swats to discourage contact, but never with her claws out. I usually laugh at that because she always has a look like “isn’t obvious I want some me time right now?” She’s a nice cat who is full of personality – she has the same torti personality as a torti I used to have. You just have to be aware of how receptive she’ll be to physical contact when you want to pet her. One minute she might say “no”, but 5 minutes later, she’s rubbing against your leg looking for a little love.

She’s generally very calm and relaxed! She is independent enough not to need someone with her all the time. She loves looking out the window. She’s kind of interested in laser and wand toys, but only plays for a minute. She has occasionally pushed a spring or ball on the floor, but isn’t really active.
